in the Pacific War. The George Bush Gallery of the Pacific War, the Plaza of
the Presidents, and the History Walk of the Pacific War are all part of the park.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area: RR 965 N. (18 miles) (915) 247-3903 This 1,643-acre park is home to the US' second largest granite outcrop, and provides opportunities for hiking rock climbing, rappelling, camping, and picnicking. Fee Historic District: Heart of Fredericksburg Over 80 points of historick interest and significance in the district. A free self- guided walking map of the district is available at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center. K&K Tours offers a guided walking tour for a fee. Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park: Texas Hwy. 16 south, 3 miles (830) 997- 4202 This 340 acre park features wooded picnic and recreation areas. The Lady Bird Johnson Park has numerous pavilions, playgrounds, tennis courts, a pool, and fishing. LBJ State and National Historical Parks: Hwy. 290 East, 16 miles The LBJ park complex encompasses 700 acres and has a visitor center, historic areas, tours, exhibits, and hiding trails. LBJ Ranch Bus Tour: Hwy. 290 East, 16 miles. Reservations (830) 868-7128 x 231 These National Park Service Tours visit the Texas White House, LBJ birthplace, cemetery, and ranch. Hour and a half tour departs from visitor center at park. Fee Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm: LBJ State Park (830) 644-2455 Visit a living history farmstead of the pioneers. See how the farm families of a century ago lived. Learn about seasonal activities such as sausage making, shep shearing, canning, etc. Pioneer Museum Complex: 309 W. Main Street (830) 997-2835 This museum contains superb examples of early German structures and artifacts. Open to the public seven days a week. Prior arrangements required for special tours of historic homes and sites owned by the Gillespie County Historical Society. Fee Vereins Kirche Museum: Center of Marktplatz, Main Street This unique building is a well-known landmark of the city of Fredericksburg in the heart of town. Learn about the original "Society's Church" and its interesting history. Fee Luckenbach, Texas: RR 1376, 8 miles Southeast of Fredericksburg (830) 997- 3224 Established as a trading post in 1849, Luckenbach consists of a dancehall, general store, and bar. This settlement has enjoyed continued notoriety for its free spirit. Fredericksburg Herb Farm: 402 Whitney St. (6 blocks off W. Main) (830) 997- 8615 Beautiful organic herb gardens, a celebration of scent and color. The Herb Farm also has a tearoom, candle shop, day spa, and retail area along with the herb gardens. Wildseed Farms: Hwy 290 East, 7 miles East of Fredericksburg (830) 990-1393 Visit one of the nation's largest working wildflower farms. Open daily. Self guided tours of the flowers available. See colorful flowers from spring through first frost. Gillespie County Wineries and
Vineyards: Located throughout the area. Hill Country Dulcimers: 715 S. Washington St (830) 997-6704 Watch as handcrafted dulcimers are crafted from scratch. Jeep Collins Jewelry Workshop: 310 Post Oak Road (800) 343-9757 Tour a jewelry factory and watch as skilled craftsmen create the unique jewelry. Gish's Old West Museum: 502 N. Milam (830) 997-2794 Visit a personal collection of many items from the old West. Call for appointment. Fredericksburg Butterfly Ranch: 508 West main Street (830) 990-0735 Located in the historic Loeffler-Weber House, this is an active working butterfly ranch specializing in monarch and native butterflies. Open march through October. Old Tunnel Wildlife Management Area (Bat Tunnel): Old San Antonio Hwy, 12 miles. Open nightly June through October. View a colony of Mexican free-tail bats as they fly out for their nightly hunt. Round Up at Heard Ranch: Tivydale Road (830) 997-7217 Experience history as ranch cowboys round up and work cattle; Bar-B-Q meal.
